It was a day to treasure for sure.

104 is too hot. I know there are warmer places in the world, but 104 is too hot. Do you ride when it's that hot or lie down with a cold drink and contemplate the beads of condensation forming on the bottle? 

Summer mountain ride

I busted my ass all week so I could go riding today, and the Gods did smile upon me. It has been a relatively cool summer this year, but today the mercury climbed up to around 90 deg F. My better half had to work and I was on my own for the day. What's the saying about idle hands?

So I get Gisella headed west and toward the mountains.

That's the name of the recreational area down the road from me. The road is a nice curvy ribbon of asphalt twisting through the Medicine Bow Nat'l Forest. The road is also called "Happy Jack". Coincidence?

See a good massage therapist. The neck thing makes it sound like a little muscle problem. Nothing a little tissue torture and stretching couldn't work out. If that doesn't help, look into a few rounds of accupuncture (this stuff works!); and if all else fails, you could see a doctor.

Might be a good idea to look into some Tai Chi or Yoga as well: flexibility is a good thing and tends to diminish as we progress through life.
