What can I say? I have been riding BMWs for 30 (gasp!) years. From my still own it 1976 R750, to my new to me R1150GS, I guess I am BMW for life. However, I have strayed, and also own a 1999 Honda VFR800. What can I say? It is a pinnacle bike built by a leading edge motorcycle company. Great fun, and the best sports tourer I have thrown my leg over. As much as I love the airhead, getting on a modern bike with brakes and hancling shows how far the world has moved since 1976. My geatest motorcycle fun was to Edelweiss tour Ireland in 2005. Rode a 1200GS, with fantastic roads, food and scenery. Fell in love with the country, and liked the bike. I can’t go back to Ireland, but I bought a 1150GS as a result of that trip.
